(Bah- Loy) to guide us, and headed for Thohoyandou (To- e- yan- doe). The ride itself is an adventure. Road so rough it rattled fillings loose and took the wrinkles out of our spines. We weathered the "wash board" roads, passed through little villages and made it through the eerie Baobab Forrest. Seventy five miles and 2 1/2 hours later, we arrived and entered the fray of celebrating shoppers. Good Friday is a really important holiday to the Venda...on the same scale of our Thanksgiving.
