I am the darkness. I am the gnawing emptiness, viciously digging a hole into still more emptiness...
I stalk the young and the old alike... I don’t care which. I love that haunted, vacant look on both the aged and wrinkled faces of the old and the soft, tender faces of the young. Without a hint of guilt, I drag them down into my world of despair and hopelessness.
I kill dreams....
I Shatter Hopes...
I break your will and laugh at your weakness...
I have the power to drag you down to the depths of my cavernous hole... and watch your stupid, valiant attempts to be strong while I slowly drain you of your energy and vitality...
I delight in your struggle to climb your way out of the darkness and back towards the light...
Nothing Satiates my cravings more than your total surrender...
Who am I?
I AM HUNGER!
And you cannot escape my grasp...
Tshifhiwa, 16, was slowly starving until Andrea Field became his Sponsor.
Or, can you?
LOVE, KINDNESS, AND GENEROSITY... are forces stronger, more sustainable and more powerful than the meanness of starvation. It conquers this dark evil of the soul. The spirit in the human heart is bigger than the pit that tries to swallow it up. It is why we strive against incredible obstacles and overcome the un-overcomable.
Guardians bring the orphans for food HHTH distributes at the Palace Of Mercy
four times a year. This is made possible by the kind and generous hearts of our
contributors.
Let me tell you about our day with the Monde primary students, the Suzinda high school students and the elderly who are literally unable to leave their huts. The Economy in Zimbabwe has collapsed; there are many things that they can’t get in their stores and the prices are skyrocketing. For people who were already struggling on the edge in normal circumstances, life now became almost unbearable. It became very difficult to get food to the children and the older folks, who were truly in the starvation mode.

With the help of you, our generous, kind and loving contributors, HHTH managed to get the food so badly needed for growing young bodies and frail undernourished bodies as well.

Many of you also gave extra so the children could have clothes, flip flops, underwear, and toiletries.
Besides the emergency feeding HHTH did in January, the children also received another large portion of food with lots of extras like peanut butter, soya beans, and sugar.
They also received much needed soap, wash cloth and towel. Please enjoy the several photos below.
The thrill of receiving much needed clothes.
Guardians received a new wrap skirt and headdress.
Taking their food home.
Headman Impala Paul told us about the plight of their elderly. They have several infirm elderly who cannot get out of their huts and who are slowly starving. There are no social programs to take care of these dear old souls who range in ages of over 80 to 101 years old. The villagers do what they can to share, but they don’t even have enough for their own children.
CJ made up 15 survival packages that contained their staples. After feeding the children we went into the Bush, guided by Impala Paul, to deliver food to save these elderly people.
In both the young and the very old, we experienced this phenomenal “awakening.” It was if they were frozen, and upon getting the food, they came to life. Then the joy shone on their faces and resignation transformed to hopeful energy.
Please notice the photos below.
Headman Impala Paul also gave each elderly a small solar light.
This little old lady is 101 years old. Their courage was humbling.
Impala Paul helps this 92 year old blind elder to come outside. He wanted
to thank us properly.
To cap the day off, we had an Acapella choir of all men
come to our chalet to perform for us. I wanted to record them to use in our HHTH video. For a very modest cost they recorded 6 songs for us and gave us permission to use their song on our work. This was because they wanted to support our work in the area. They appreciated our efforts with the orphans and the elderly.
With Love ❤️...
